Students' Conference

The annual Students’ Conference serves as a platform to provide opportunities for
students to share what they have learnt with their fellow schoolmates and teachers.
At the same time, it allows the sharpening of oral competencies and thinking skills of
students so as to build confidence in them.
Different themes were organised each year since 2009 such as “Values in Action for
Today’s Youth”, “Authentic Science, Technology and Environmental Learning” and
“Learn a skill in a Day”
The conference also encompassed talks by guest speakers such as Mr Puvan
Ariaratnam, Deputy Director from the Character and Citizenship Education Branch,
Student Development Curriculum Division. Mr Saminathan Gopal, the principal of
STEM INC. (Science Centre Singapore) shared with our students on what it takes to
be working in the STEM field. Another guest speaker from Ngee Ann Polytechnic,
Ms Arunima Chatterjee also took time to explain to our Sec 3 students on the
importance of Sustainable Design in the real world context.
Beside these engaging talks, Yusoffians enriched their learning in the conference
through numerous concurrent sessions conducted by our very own student
