National Arts Education Award 2015

The National Arts Education Award (NAEA) is a national arts award for Ministry of Education (MOE) schools.
 
The award:
 
• affirms schools that develop holistic arts education for their students; and
• provides all schools with a framework to guide the development of good arts education practices and programmes
 
Since 2003, 222 schools have participated in the NAEA, spanning across primary, secondary, Integrated Programme (IP) schools, and junior colleges. All schools that attain the award will be recognised with a trophy and the use of the NAEA logo for up to 4 years (November 2015 – November 2019).
 
 
Yusof Ishak Secondary School is proud to be one of 28 schools in Singapore to receive the NAE Spark Award for: 
• taking proactive steps to build a vibrant arts culture in school;
• developing clear structures and programmes for arts education; and
• developing students’ interest in at least 2 art forms.
