Chinese New Year Celebrations 2018

The Chinese New Year Celebrations took place on 15 February.

A series of activities aimed at increasing our students’ knowledge about the traditional Chinese culture were organised to promote social cohesion and harmony.

Some highlights of our activities included the Classroom Door Decoration competition and the Wushu and dance performance during the assembly on the eve of Chinese New Year.

In fact, the elderly from Lion Befriends attended our Chinese New Year assembly that day too!

On 21st February, we were delighted to have member of parliament, Mdm Rahayu Mahzam, members from Bukit Batok East Constituency, Mr Eric Lim, Chairman and valued members of the School Advisory Committee, members of the Parent-Support-Group, School Leaders and all staff of YISS  join us for our annual Lo Hei toss!

It was truly a festive day that brought joy and cohesion among the students, staff and members from the community.
