Softball (Girls)
Softball at Yusof Ishak Secondary School is a team sport built on strength, grit, and power. Our structured four-year programme helps players develop fundamental skills while building self-discipline, resilience, and sportsmanship. Students engage in fun, high-energy training sessions that use real-game scenarios to sharpen their throwing, catching, pitching, and batting.
Key Programmes
a) National School Games (NSG)
Our B Division and C Division teams represent the school in the National School Games, which take place annually in January and July respectively. Through competitive play, our students develop technical skills, strategic thinking, and the perseverance needed to achieve their targets.
b) Little Sluggers Invitational U12 Softball Championship
In 2026, YISS will host this inaugural event to position the school as a leader in youth sports development. Senior players (aged 14–15) take on leadership roles as assistant umpires, scorers, and game coordinators. This programme provides practical exposure to develop and deepens game intelligence while reinforcing values of accountability and service to the wider softball community.
